Additional Information
Why Choose RGF?
• I am a doctor of physical therapy with over 14 years of clinical experience and also a personal trainer. These combined credentials provide a unique and specialized perspective as your trainer. • Workout programs at RGF will prioritize foundational exercise principles, injury prevention, address existing limitations and specific musculoskeletal issues. RGF will ensure clients can safely achieve their fitness goals while minimizing the risk of further injury. • There are no membership fees! You’re not paying for a gym membership in addition to a personal trainer. While personal training is not typically covered under insurance plans, physical therapy is. RGF understands that paying out-of-pocket may sound unreasonable and expensive but keep reading! • The cost difference between a co-pay or co-insurance two or three times a week compared to one or two times a week at RGF may not be what you think. • Every insurance plan has a limited number of covered physical therapy visits per year. If you run out, then you’re paying out-of-pocket or discharged from care. • At RGF you don’t have to navigate your deductible, a billing department, or paying any unknown costs (co-insurance). • You are one-on-one with the RGF physical therapist for your entire session. • You communicate directly with your RGF physical therapist, no call centers. • RGF can provide you a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Something to consider and perhaps inquire about with your insurance company. Being out-of-pocket allows RGF to provide a greater quality of care. The rising costs of healthcare and ever-changing insurance regulations create a challenge within insurance-based clinics. They may have to see multiple patients at once to make up for the diminishing reimbursements from insurance companies. At RGF, you have the undivided attention of your physical therapist each session and treatment approach is based solely upon your specific needs. Please refer to the home page for more details about why paying out-of-pocket makes more sense than you may think!
Are there more personal training services offered than what is listed on our website?
Absolutely! What’s listed on our site are possible reasons you may be looking for a trainer or physical therapist. RGF is able and ready to create a program just for you, whatever your goals may be.
What to expect with personal training services
Your first session will be 60 minutes and include an assessment and an introductory workout. Baseline measurements will be established based on your goals and we will discuss your personalized program. Re-assessments will be done every 4-6 weeks.
What to expect with physical therapy services
Your first visit will be a 75-minute evaluation where we will discuss your need for physical therapy and goals. Baseline measurements of your functional limitations will be established and we will discuss exam findings and establish your plan of care. You will begin treatment and an initial home exercise program will be provided. Progress reports will be done every 30 days.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable workout clothes and sneakers and bring water! Physical therapy patients do not require workout clothes, but should be able to move freely in whatever you choose.
